The third edition of the independent Cinema Love film festival will take place in Tashkent from September 13 to 22. It is aimed at promoting the works of young directors from Central Asian countries.

In 2021 and 2022, the festival was part of the mocfest project. This year, Cinema Love has become an independent event.

The festival will feature:

  • competition program of more than 20 short films by authors from Central Asia;
  • retrospective of works by Umida Akhmedova and Oleg Karpov;
  • educational artist talks with Sasha Kulak and Sana Serkebaeva;
  • screenings of films by Sasha Kulak, Mikhail Borodin, Almir Saifullina, Katerina Suvorova, Malika Mukhamedzhan and Asel Zhuraeva.

A parallel block will include the third Digital Autumn festival, which will offer viewers an opportunity to get acquainted with virtual reality and experimental works by French authors. This block is supported by the French Embassy, ​​the French Alliance and the French Institute at the Embassy in cooperation with the Less Media Group agency and the MOC creative hub with technical support from VRonica.

The events will take place at the Tashkent Film School, moc hub, the Greek Cultural Center and on the roof of the Zhemchug house. Registration on the festival website.
