On the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan, it gives me great pleasure to convey my warmest and most sincere congratulations. I wish prosperity, peace, well-being and prosperity to the people of Uzbekistan. It is a great honor for me to work in this remarkable country. Here I learned that the main wealth of the Republic of Uzbekistan is not gold or cotton, but its wonderful people.

I am confident that the political and diplomatic relations between Romania and Uzbekistan will continue to develop dynamically. The ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan open up good prospects for expanding dialogue and contacts in all areas. There is great potential for bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

Meanwhile, Romania will remain an active supporter of deepening cooperation between the European Union and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as promoting new projects of common interest that will contribute to strengthening the stability in the region and expanding ties between our regions.

Together, we can reach new heights. I remember with pleasure that on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan I climbed the Pulatkhan plateau (2823 meters), on the eve of the 31st anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan I conquered the peak of Hazrati Sultan (4083 meters) in the Kashkadarya province, and on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan I climbed the Greater Chimgan (3309 meters). These were important events of public diplomacy of the Embassy of Romania in Tashkent on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

I express my gratitude to the Uzbek authorities for fruitful cooperation.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Uzbekistan
