President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has accepted the invitation of the president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on February 7-9.

The parties are scheduled to hold talks at the highest level and to discuss practical aspects to further expand Uzbek-Belarusian cooperation.

They will focus on increasing the two-way trade, developing cooperative ties in agriculture, light and food industries, pharmaceuticals, communications and others.

They will also discuss partnership development programs in the fields of vocational education, healthcare, culture, sports and tourism.

Based on the negotiations, the countries will adopt a package of bilateral documents.

It should be noted that these days, in anticipation of the visit, a number of business events are being held in the city of Tashkent with the participation of provinces and business circles of the two countries - the second Interprovincial Forum and a meeting of the Business Council.
