World renowned Nike and Adidas are planning to open sport shoes production units in Uzbekistan, Fakhriddin Boboev, chairman of Uzcharmsanoat association, said.
"We have reached an agreement with Nike and Adidas to enter our market. The production units will be set up in Andijan province. The JV Sino International plant plans to 3 million pairs of Nike and Adidas sport shoes under outsource terms," he said.
One of the ambitious plans iof the Association is to build in Uzbekistan a sport kits manufacturing hub for Central Asia.
