Russian oil company Tatneft has founded Tatneft-AZS-Tashkent LLC in Uzbekistan, registering its sales subsidiary in Nurafshon city, Tashkent province on December 26, 2018, Kommersant newspaper said.

The business plan is reportedly currently being developed.

Until now, Tatneft had gas filling stations in Uzbekistan. As of October 1, 2018, its retail network included 691 gas stations, including 582 in Russia, 18 in Belarus, and 91 in Ukraine.

In November 2018, the DG of Tatneft, Nail Maganov, met with the Uzbek Deputy PM, Alisher Sultanov and considered partnership ties in exploration, field development and enhanced oil recovery, engineering, petrochemicals, oil refining, etc.
