At yesterday’s Uzbekistan-Iran business forum in Tehran the Uzbekistan government delegation officials urged the Iranian businesses to establish and develop partnership ties and jointly implement projects.

As the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported, Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, Foreign Trade Minister Elyor Ganiev, Chairman of the Uzbekneftegaz Company Alisher Sultanov and other members of the Uzbek delegation delivered speeches at the forum. On behalf of the Iranian government, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, Mojtaba Khosotaj addressed the attendees.

Minister Kamilov noted that the official visit to Tehran was organized following the agreements reached during the September meeting of the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Iran Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Hasan Rouhani in Astana on the sidelines of the OIC summit.

A $ 7.5 million protocol on intentions and $ 25.5 million worth of deals for supply of agricultural and textile products were signed as part of the visit of the Uzbek delegation to Iran and following the business forum.
