Uzbekistan and Nukem (USA) signed a uranium supply contract, the Uzbekistan’s Foreign Trade Minister Elyor Ganiev said at the meeting of the International Press Club Wednesday.
He said that the US$300 million contract was signed for a duration of 7 years and on very favorable terms for Uzbekistan, much more profitable than some countries-suppliers of uranium concentrate have. The minister noted that the contract with Nukem was signed at the Uzbek-American business forum last week in New York during the visit of US President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the US.
