In an intent to boost Uzbekistan’s exports in the US market, UzTrade, a company within the Foreign Trade Ministry, opened a trading house in New York. The trading house will reportedly host a permanent showroom of Uzbek goods.
Fostering trade and economic cooperation, as well as the development of the system of mutual supplies, are among the main themes of the Uzbek-American Business Forum.
Following the forum, it is scheduled to sign trade deals with major US companies, as well as contracts for supply of textiles, antiseptic products, ceramic dishes, silk products, dried fruits, navvat (Uzbek sugar) and other products of Uzbek manufacturers.
