There are about a thousand electronics production units in Uzbekistan. While, almost all enterprises of the industry are privately owned, with the total number of people employed in the industry standing over 35 thousand people.
Reportedly, the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy for 2022-2026 has an item to increase by the year 2026 the volume of production of industrial products by 1.4 times, including the volume of production of high-value products in the electronics industry by 2 times and the volume of exports by 3 times.
Meanwhile, until January 1, 2027, the profit and property tax was cut by 50% for the electronics enterprises. While, waivers from customs duties were extended to imported raw materials, components and equipment for own production needs.
There are over 800 new investment projects worth over $260 million launched in Uzbekistan, including 120 cable production projects worth $50 million, 380 household appliances worth $115 million, 60 energy equipment worth $40 million, and 250 other electronics projects worth $58 million.
