President Mirziyoyev signed resolution on May 26 converting JSC UzTadbirkorExport (Uz Entrepreneur Export) into a specialized foreign trade company, UzTrade.
The main objectives of UzTrade are:
- study of demand in foreign markets for Uzbek products.
- promotion of export, search for new markets;
- creation, with business entities and farms, of modern production capacities, greenhouses, cold storage facilities and capacities for sorting, packing and processing of agricultural products;
- assistance in certification of export products, conducting promotional activities, support for participation of producers in fairs and exhibitions abroad, export consulting.
UzTrade is allowed to ship flour and wheat to its trading houses abroad on consignment terms, within approved limits.
Pursuan to the resolution, the foreign trade companies UzMarkazImpex and UziIterImpex shall be reorganized within two months, their assets will be transferred to form the statutory fund of UzTrade.
