A MEDEF International delegation including 27 business executives of French companies will visit Tashkent from 31 May to 2 June 2017. The mission is led by Mr. Christophe FONTAINE, Director General of "Identité” and a member of the Executive Committee of Oberthur Technologies and head of the Uzbekistan-France Business Council of MEDEF International.
It is the sixth multi-industry visit of companies of MEDEF International to the Uzbek capital. Active in Uzbekistan since 1992, MEDEF International conducted a similar mission to Tashkent in June 2015 and took part in the latest Joint Uzbekistan-France Trade-Investment Commission held in Tashkent in July 2016.
Representing 12 industries (agriculture, banking, defense, transport, high technologies, construction, engineering, environment, energy, urban services, industry, consultancy), this mission visits Tashkent, on the one hand, to learn the priorities and expectations of the new Uzbek government towards foreign investors and on the other to reaffirm the French private sector's willingness to engage with Uzbek partners in the major development projects in economic, industrial and social areas of the country.
