The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Kazakhstan on March 22-23, the Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs announced.

Abdukhashim Abdullayev has been appointed as new chairman of the board of UzKimyoSanoat (transl. Uzbek Chemical Industry, a state-run company) by the Feb. 9 resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, the Governmental portal said.

Today in Tashkent will be held the fifth round of Uzbek-Iranian political consultations between Foreign Ministries, in which will be present the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by Deputy Minister Ebrahim Rahimpour.

On March 10, 2017 a Kazakhstan delegation headed by the Assistant to the President, the Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan, Vladimir Zhumakanov visited Tashkent, UzA reported.

President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Asian Development Bank (ADB) President, Takehiko Nakao today and signed loan agreements totaling $573 million. Mr. Nakao expressed confidence in the country’s economic prospects and reiterated ADB’s support for the government’s development agenda.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his March 2 message to the UN Secretary General, António Guterres on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the membership of Uzbekistan in the UN, said he intends to participate in the next session of the UN General Assembly in New York in September.
