The delegation of the Ministry of Innovative Development paid a visit to the United Arab Emirates, Dunyo agency said. Reportedly, executives of the UAE Innovation Center were invited to Innoweek.uz - 2022 innovation week, which will be held in October this year. Bilateral cooperation agreements are expected to be signed within this week.
The members of the Uzbekistan delegation were closely introduced to the facilties in the Dubai Future Lab. During the meeting, the parties discussed sending young people interested in robotics and other technologies to short-term training and familiarization programs.
During the meeting with Tarifa Al-Zaabi, Director General of the International Center for Biosalt Agriculture (ICBA), the progress of the "Program for the Development of the Agricultural Sector in the Aral Sea region" worth $5.1 million was discussed.
The parties agreed to launch joint research on the cultivation of drought-resistant plant varieties and their use in agriculture, to study the possibilities of joint financing of the project.
