On May 24, First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Aziz Voitov and Chinese Ambassador to Tashkent Jiang Yan signed an agreement on technical and economic cooperation between the governments of the countries on May 24, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade said.
The agreement provides for the provision by Chinese government of 250 million yuan (equivalent to $37.5 million) of a grant financial assistance for the implementation of joint socially significant projects in Uzbekistan.
Prior to this, within the framework of technical and economic cooperation, the countries implemented projects in healthcare, education, agriculture and water management, culture, transport and other areas.
