On May 19, Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke to the Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov over the telephone, the presidential press service said in a statement.
Reportedly, the parties considered topical issues of further strengthen the Uzbek-Kyrgyz ties of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership.
The parties commended the stepping up of mutual contacts and exchanges at different levels, the 30 percent increase of the two-way trade year-to-date.
The sides also focused on the implementation of the agreements and the achievement of concrete outcomes of cooperation in five key areas - issues of the State Border, increasing trade, deepening industrial cooperation, and promoting joint infrastructure projects in the field of transport and energy.
The parties stressed the importance of comprehensive preparation of the agenda for the next Central Asia Summit.
