Data storage and processing center will be built in the Tashkent province before September 1. This became known during today's meeting on the effectiveness of reforms in the field of information technology and digital economy, as well as the priorities for 2022, which was chaired by the president.

Also, the President instructed the responsible government agencies to set up six remote service centers in the first year-half: in Tashkent, Karakalpakstan, Jizzakh, Syrdarya, Fergana and Namangan, and by the year-end to accept the first orders from abroad.

At least 30 large companies should be set up in the country, which will be able to enter the global IT market. In addition, within two months it is necessary to establish a system of advanced training for 1,000 young people in IT parks with the involvement of foreign specialists.

It also became known that Uzbekistan intends to increase IT services by 2.5 times, the President noted. There are also plans to increase the share of exports of information services to 500 million US dollars.
