On April 27, the Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Deputy Foreign Minister of the State of Kuwait Ali Sulaiman al-Sayyid in Tashkent. The sides discussed the state and prospects of relations between Uzbekistan and Kuwait and some international and regional issues.
The diplomats confirmed mutual interest in the further advancing the interstate dialogue on a constructive and mutually beneficial basis, enhance ties in the trade, economic and investment areas.
The First Deputy Prime Minister, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Khaled al-Sabah plans to visit Uzbekistan. The sides exchanged views on the dates and agenda of the visit.
The sides also discussed the issues of holding the first meeting of the Joint Committee for Cooperation and other bilateral events.
The Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Kuwait held the first round of political consultations.
