On April 27, the Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov met the EU Special Representative for Central Asia, Peter Burian. The sides discussed the state of relations and prospects for advancing cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU in the political, trade-economic, investment and financial-technical areas and some regional issues.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, the sides also considered preparations for holding the EU-Central Asia inter-regional ministerial meeting of in Uzbekistan.
The sides also exchanged views on the schedule and agenda of the upcoming bilateral contacts and meetings of joint institutions.
In the meeting was present the head of the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan, Ambassador Eduards Stiprais.
