Today, on November 17, the presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan held a telephone conversation. According to the press service of Akorda, the two leaders thoroughly exchanged views on the ways to further advance the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan across the entire range of the bilateral agenda.

“Priority was given to building up trade and economic cooperation, strengthening investment cooperation, as well as the implementation of joint projects in the field of industry, mechanical engineering, transport and logistics, agriculture, etc.,” the statement said. 

It also became known that in order to give an impetus to the multifaceted Kazakh-Uzbek ties, the parties reached an agreement to organize a state visit of the Uzbek leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kazakhstan by the end of this year.

“In this regard, the governments of the two countries have been instructed to ensure the high-quality negotiations at the highest level,” the Akorda concluded.
