The president Mirziyoyev signed a decree appointing Bakhtiyor Islamov to the position of presidential adviser in charge of coordination of law enforcement and regulatory bodies to replace Rustam Inoyatov, the president’s spokesman Sherzod Asadov said.
Prior to that, Bakhtiyor Islamov had served as the First Deputy Adviser to the President responsible for Protection of Citizens' Rights and Work with letters from the public.
Rustam Inoyatov, who previously served as chairman of the State Security Service, had held the said position since August 2018. His new role, if any, has not yet been unveiled.
