The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in his speech at the inauguration ceremony on Saturday, spoke about the economic growth in Uzbekistan and plans to use Germany’s practices in all areas.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that the economic growth at present stage is a priority task. By 2030, Uzbekistan will join the ranks of countries with an upper middle income due to an increase in GDP per capita, he said, stressing that he would not give a figure, since we have already heard a lot of lofty figures. Earlier, the president announced the planned GDP per capita of US$ 4000. “Our actions will create a solid foundation by 2030,” he said.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that it is planned to achieve the target by encouraging the private sector, increasing its share in the economy, attracting foreign direct investment.

“Easing doing business for foreign investors is of utmost importance. Analyze the last 5 years: in the districts and provinces where the favorable environment was created, there was a result. In districts and regions where there is no corruption and representatives of the president work in good faith and honestly, there has been a result,” he said.

All statistical data in Uzbekistan is studied by the World Bank, the president stressed. “We cannot, as before, calculate and act ourselves without showing them to the World Bank. Everything is open and transparent, and are we showing everything to the whole world. "

He underscored the importance of the development of the cluster system among "driver industries". “For better or worse, the cluster system has been producing results over the past five years, including in the industrial sector. Why is there a cluster in the cotton sector? This is also an industry. It is necessary not only to produce cotton on an industrial scale, but also to process it, create a value chain, jobs, find markets and produce competitive products, ”the head of state said.

“Why do you think I am studying Karl Marx a lot? The president continued. – We have the great Germany. Despite many crises, they have the proper education, knowledge and science. Thanks to science, the German economy is keeping afloat during the crisis. We must also learn from them, ”the head of state said.

He said that soon he plans to send the Prime minister with a commission to Germany to thoroughly study and introduce their practices in all areas.
