The Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov hosted the new Ambassador of France, Aurelia Bouchez, on October 8, the Ministry said in a statement.
The Minister congratulated the ambassador on her posting to a responsible post and expressed the hope that her professional experience will contribute to bringing the Uzbek-French ties to an even higher level.
The parties reportedly reviewed topical issues of bilateral cooperation and discussed opportunities for enhancing political dialogue, developing inter-parliamentary contacts, intensifying trade, economic and investment ties, cultural, humanitarian and tourist exchanges.
Aurelia Bouchez previously worked as French Ambassador to Azerbaijan and Head of the European Union Delegation to Kazakhstan.
The previous Ambassador of France to Uzbekistan (in 2019-2021) was Isabelle Servoz-Gallucci.
