Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke to the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon over the telephone yesterday and congratulated the leader of Tajikistan on his birthday and warmly wished him good health, prosperity and new successes, and peace and prosperity to the Tajik people.

The fruitful outcomes of Tajikistan’s chairmanship in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization this year and the successful holding of the anniversary summit of this multilateral structure in Dushanbe last month were highly appreciated. The presidents commended the strengthened Uzbek-Tajik relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership,” said the presidential press service said.
The two leaders noted the importance of full-scale implementation of the agreements and agreements adopted, instructed to continue close interaction and coordination within the framework of the activities of the joint intergovernmental commission.
During the conversation, the counterparts exchange views on the topical international and regional agenda, including the emerging situation in neighboring Afghanistan and considered the schedule of meetings and events at the highest level.
