On July 12, the Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov hosted the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Nepal, Bharat Raj Podyal, who arrived in Tashkent to attend the international conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”.
According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the bilateral ties in political, trade, economic, tourism, cultural, humanitarian and other areas and reiterated their readiness to continue cooperation within the international and regional organizations, as well as other multilateral structures. Abdulaziz Kamilov underscored that Uzbekistan is in favor of giving an additional impetus to the strengthening of trade and economic ties between Central and South Asia, including with Nepal,” the statement said.
The Nepalese First Deputy Foreign Minister stressed that he attached great importance to the upcoming conference and believes that its outcomes would contribute to the rapprochement of the two regions.
