Voluntary vaccination against coronavirus of everyone over 18 years old begins in Tashkent, the press service of the Ministry of Health said.
One can get vaccinated in local family clinics. To date, the list of people vaccinated has been expanding in Uzbekistan.
The vaccination, which began on April 1, at the first stage covered doctors at risk of COVID-19 infection and people aged 65 and over, from April 27 - school teachers and staff of preschools, from May 31 - students studying abroad, journalists, writers and staff of TV and radio companies. Starting from June 22, citizens over 50 and faculty members of higher education institutions began to receive a free vaccine against COVID-19.
According to the Ministry of Health, as of June 24, 3.1 million doses were used in the vaccination process (at the first stage - 1.83 million, at the second - 1.1 million, at the third - 168 thousand).
