The Deputy PM/Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardor Umrzakov met with Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank (EADB) Nikolai Podguzov in Moscow.
The parties discussed the current state and the ways for expanding cooperation with the bank in order to draw investment in Uzbekistan and agreed to study the promising projects for financing by the bank and to carry out the preparatory work together.
Prospects for the participation of EADB in the finance of major hydropower, infrastructure construction and transport project were also discussed.
In order to launch efforts in these areas, the parties will consider the possibility of opening a representative office of the EADB in Uzbekistan before the year-end.
