On June 3, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, the presidential press service said.
Reportedly, the parties discussed topical issues of the bilateral agenda and regional cooperation.
“The two leaders highly valued the fruitful results of the meeting of the prime ministers of the two countries, held yesterday in the city of Nur-Sultan, focusing on further promotion of priority projects in the field of trade and logistics, industrial cooperation, the development of modern transport communications and tourism infrastructure,” the statement said.
They also welcomed the expansion of the inter-parliamentary exchange and the holding of the first meeting of the joint commission at the level of the leaders of the Senates in Tashkent city these days.
The leaders reportedly exchanged views on strengthening the relations of friendship and good-neighborliness in Central Asia, as well as a peaceful settlement in Afghanistan.
