The Uzbek Ambassador Bahrom Aloev presented his credentials to the Iraqi President Barham Salih Tuesday, the Foreign Ministry said.

Reportedly, the Iraqi leader conveyed the gratitude to the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for appointing for the first time an ambassador to the country. He hoped that this decision will contribute to the expansion and strengthening of Uzbek-Iraqi ties.

The parties underscored the importance of advancing political dialogue, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
