The Senate will convene for the fifteenth plenary session on May 28-29, the press service of the upper house of parliament said. This decision was made by the council of the Senate at a meeting on May 25.
At the session meeting, the senators will review the Transport Bill, Precious metals and precious stones Bill, Establishment of Day of workers of culture and art of Uzbekistan Bill, Amendments to the Electoral Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a number of other bills.
In addition, the draft of the Strategy for Achieving Gender Equality in Uzbekistan until 2030 will be discussed and the reports of the Cabinet of Ministers on the fulfillment of the state budget at the end of 2020 and the first quarter of 2021 will be heard.
At the session, it is also planned to consider issues on sending parliamentary requests to the Cabinet of Ministers regarding problems in providing jobs for graduates of universities, on the restoration and promoting tourism after the pandemic and others.
