At the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction was held a meeting between the officials of Uzbekneftegaz and the French company Rothschild & Cie.
At the meeting, the leadership of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, the Ministry of Finance and Uzbekneftegaz discussed the future plan to be inked with Rothschild & Cie.
Talks were held on the offer of Rothschild & Cie to provide financial advisory services.
Arielle Malard on behalf of Rothschild & Cie and the chairman Mehriddin Abdullaev on behalf of Uzbekneftegaz, signed a bilateral agreement, which provides for to preparation for the IPO.
The signing ceremony was held as part of the 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission between Uzbekistan and France and the Business Forum organized jointly with the MEDEF International movement of French businesses.
The purpose of signing the agreement is to prepare for the IPO and obtain consulting services from Rothschild & Cie to assess Uzbekneftegaz’s debt portfolio.
Reportedly, this is part of Uzbekneftegaz’s transformation and will be carried out in parallel with other consultants, which in turn will allow Uzbekneftegaz to become an internationally recognized company that meets international standards.
