Uzbekistan will no longer isolate itself and will not block the Internet access, announced the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev yestreday, speaking at the International Congress Center in Tashkent on the occasion of the Teachers’ Day.
“Uzbekistan is now open, it is not an option to isolate itself as before. We will not close the borders, we will not block the access to the Internet. I would like to thank the media again. We are now going through hardships. Officials who fail to communicate with them have no future in the government. Some refuse to be accountable to the public, do not want to hear the voice of justice. But they will have to, or we will bid farewell to them,” he said.
