Member of the Senate, the People's Writer of Karakalpakstan, a journalist, holder of the El-Yurt Hurmati Order, Sharap Usnatdinov has died at the age of 78, the press service of the Senate said.
The cause of death was not disclosed.
“Journalist, politician Sh. Usnatdinov was born in 1942 in Kegeyli district. As the chairman of the Karakalpakstan Council of Nuroniy Foundation Usnatdinov has made a significant contribution to the development of our country for many years.
Sharap Usnatdinov was elected a member of the Senate in the January 2020 elections. He was the oldest member of the renewed Senate. He also served the Deputy Minister of Mahalla and Family Support of Karakalpakstan.
In July this year, the chairman of the Supreme Council of Karakalpakstan, Senator Musa Erniyazov died at the age of 73 because of the coronavirus.
