Public transport on urban and suburban routes will be allowed starting from June 8 in the Yellow and Green lockdown areas. This decision was made by the Special Republican Commission for the Control of Coronavirus.
Minibuses and Damas minivans, as well as the Tashkent metro will not be operating yet.
Strict restrictions shall apply in public transport, namely:
- vehicles to be fully disinfected before each trip and at the terminus station, as well as at major stops;
- drivers are required to wear and regularly change medical masks and gloves;
- only passengers wearing shall be allowed.
Monitoring over the compliance with these requirements is assigned to units of the Ministry of Transport.
“Given that the lockdown restrictions in our country have not yet been lifted, passengers are asked to strictly adhere to the restrictions and pay attention to keeping social distance when traveling in public transport,” the statement said.
