The Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov had a telephone conversation with Sergei Lavrov on Thursday, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
Due to some changes in the schedule of international events, the official visit of the Russian Foreign Minister to Tashkent was postponed from 12-13 January to 15-16 January.
The parties also exchanged views on current bilateral and international issues, with the main items of Lavrov's first visit to Uzbekistan remaining unchanged.
Earlier, US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo postponed his visit to Uzbekistan on 5-6 January.
