On the occasion of the e 27th anniversary of the Uzbek Constitution, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev yesterday signed the Pardoning of a Group of Persons Serving Prison Sentences, Who Demonstrated Sincere Repentance and Have Chosen the Right Path Decree.
Of the total 92 pardoned people, 20 shall be released from serving sentence, 31 are to be released on parole, while the remaining 16 persons will get milder sentence. In addition, the sentences in the form of deprivation of liberty, imposed on 19 persons, will be cut.
The decree said that 3 pardoned persons are above 60 years of age, 3 are the women, 79 are the persons who had joined the banned organizations.
