The anti-corruption compliance control system (control over compliance with the requirements of anti-corruption legislation) is being implemented in the joint-stock companies Uzkimyosanoat and Uzbekneftegaz, the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan, which is the working body of the Republican Interagency Abti-Corruption Commission, said in a statement.
The compliance control system is being implemented with the UN Development Program project “Combating corruption through effective, accountable and transparent governance institutions in Uzbekistan” and experts of KPMG, the international audit company.
According to KPMG experts, the implementation of compliance control will help effectively apply international anti-corruption standards and practices at enterprises, as well as enhance the transparency, corporate governance and investment attractiveness.
In addition, the experience of implementing of anti-corruption compliance can be used in other state-owned companies, as well as in business entities, the statement concluded.
