A 31-year-old woman from Uzbekistan on Monday alleged that she was beaten up and gangraped by 3 men within a car in southwest Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area. The incident happened on August 10.
Police have arrested 2 people in connection with the case. one in all the accused, a resident of Gurugram, is known to the victim. He had befriended the girl some seven months ago.
In her complaint, the woman has named the 3 men who gangraped her.
Based on the complaint, a case has been registered and also the matter is being investigated, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Devender Arya aforesaid.
The woman arrived in to India 2 months and was living with her friends in Madangiri. He befriended her seven months ago.
“Her friend [one of the accused] known as her to meet on Saturday close to a mall in Vasant Kunj. He picked her from Vasant Kunj, took her to Gurugram in his car within which 2 of his friends were already sitting,” police quoted the woman’s complaint.
