President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is reportedly intending to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan in February of this year.
It is worth noting that the Belarusian leader already visited Uzbekistan in October 2016, when he laid a wreath at the grave of the late President of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov in Samarkand and extended his condolences to his widow, Tatyana Karimova.
In addition, Alexander Lukashenko held a working meeting with Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who at that time served as Acting President.
The trade turnover between Belarus and Uzbekistan amounted to 43.4 million dollars in nine months of 2016, BelNovosti reported.
