The 15th meeting of the Uzbekistan-EU Subcommittee on Justice, Internal Affairs, Human Rights and Related Issues was held on June 24, 2019 in Brussels.
The Uzbekistan delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Justice A.Tashkulova discussed with the EU officials the issues of cooperation in the field of strengthening the rule of law, protection of human rights.
The meeting also discussed cooperation in the framework of the CADAP-6, BOMCA and other projects.
An important item on the agenda of the meeting was the preparation for the second round of negotiations on the Extended Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the European Union.
the EU officials expressed interest in the early completion of the harmonization of the text of the document, which aims to elevate the bilateral cooperation to a new level.
