President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Masdar City tech park. He toured the city with Suhail Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Industry, and Masdar officials, and were introduced to Masdar’s latest Clean energy projects and achievements in sustainibility.
Masdar City is one of the world’s most sustainable urban communities, a low-carbon development made up of a rapidly growing clean-tech cluster, business free zone and residential neighbourhood with restaurants, shops and public green spaces.
Masdar’s philosophy of urban development is based on the three pillars of economic, social and environmental sustainability. Masdar City is a greenprint for the sustainable development of cities through the application of real-world solutions in water, energy efficiency and the reduction of waste.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also familiarized himself with a solar lab and spoke to an Uzbek fellow student at the Khalifa University. He noted the importance of applying the gained knowledge and experience for the development of clean energy in Uzbekistan.
