Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree appointing Ochilboy Ramatov as the First Deputy Prime Minister and the head of newly created Ministry of Transport.
Before that, Ochilboy Ramatov, 56, served as First Deputy PM, Chairman of Uzbekistan Railways and Head of the Government Complex on Integrated Development of Territories, Utilities, Transport, Capital Construction and Building Industry.
Uzbekistan Railways and Uzbekistan Airways will be handed over to the new ministry.
Aziz Abdukhakimov, who, on May 28, 2018, was appointed the Deputy PM/Head of the Government Complex for Education, Health, Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, has become the Deputy PM for Social Development.
Djamshid Kuchkarov, 54, who since November 2017, has served as Deputy PM, Minister of Finance and Head of the Government Complex for Macroeconomic Analysis and Forecasting, Reforming the Financial and Banking Systems, Development of Private Entrepreneurship and Small Business, has been appointed Deputy PM/Minister of Finance.
Deputy PM/Chair of the Women's Committee Tanzila Narbaeva has retained her position.
As reported earlier, Elyor Ganiyev has been appointed Deputy PM for Investments and Foreign Economic Relations and the former Deputy PM Alisher Sultanov has been named as the Minister of Energy.
