Uzbekistan's cooperation with the Central Asian countries on security and other regional affairs will be stepped up, the draft 2019 State Program said.
It proposes to draft a relevant legal document, in line with which:
Uzbekistan’s foreign policy aimed at strengthening good neighborly relations with the countries of the region, overcoming challenges and ensuring security in Central Asia will be further enhanced;
The President of Uzbekistan will create a post of Special Representative for advancing cooperation with the Central Asian countries.
Deadline for fulfilling the project is July 20, 2019 and the responsible bodies are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State Security Service and the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies.
