Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, who is attending the International Conference on Afghanistan in Geneva, met with Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of South and Central Asia AffairsAlice Wells Tuesday.

"The parties discussed the practical aspects of advancing the Uzbek-American cooperation in the light of the implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the United States and the summit talks in May 2018 as well as some international and regional issues," the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

The parties also exchanged views on the agenda of the opening International Conference on Afghanistan, the prospects for launching of the inter-Afghan peace process.
