Uzbekistan’s Consulate General opened yesterday in Yekaterinburg. The Consul General of Uzbekistan in Yekaterinburg Abdusalom Khatamov said that the consulate covers Sverdlovsk, Tyumen, Kurgan, Chelyabinsk provinces, as well as the Khanty-Mansiysk and Yamalo-Nenets autonomous districts.
“It is a great honor for me to become the Uzbekistan's first Consul General in Yekaterinburg. Many thanks for the support. We will provide consular legal assistance, as well as work to strengthen the economic relations of Uzbekistan with the Sverdlovsk province and other areas, ”the diplomat said.
To date there have been only two consular offices of Uzbekistan in Russia - in Moscow and Novosibirsk.
