Maiden international Muhammad al-Khwarezmi Mathematical Olympiad among university students will be held in Urgench on October 28-30.
334 students from over 58 universities in in 19 foreign countries are expected attend the international contest.
The panel of judges will be selected from among mathematics experts, teachers, professors and scientists. The winners of the Olympiad will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals, as well as diplomas.
Those Uzbek students who win the Olympiad will be entitled for scholarships for graduate studies at Uzbek universities in mathematics, physics and IT related departments.
