On the second day of his trip to Jizzakh province President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Forish field training ground.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces famialiarized himself with the accomodation, training and combat training conditions of servicemen. He inspected the firearm simulator, sleeping rooms, exercise areas and the parade ground.

He gave instructions to turn this place into an exemplary training ground, to develop a new concept and modernize on its basis all military training grounds in the country.
In addition to improving the practical skills of servicemen, training ground should be a source of pride, a source of strength and knowledge, he said.

The Forish training ground consists of plains, complex mountainous and rocky sites. The exercises conducted here are aimed at forming the battalion tactical groups’ skills in performing the assigned tasks in extreme mountain and steppe conditions, in any weather, and also teach the organization of combat operations and tactics.

25 types of educational and tactical exercises were demonstrated at the training ground for the President's visit.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev also examined the military equipment produced in our country and the soldiers’ camp food.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also familiarized himself with the construction of a reservoir in Zafarabad district in Jizzakh province.

This hydro facility will make it possible to provide 20,000 hectares of unused land with water, expand cultivated areas where it will be possible to grow export and industrial crops and get high income.

We plan to grow and process sugar beets here, build a sugar factory, which is very important for ensuring the sugar independence of our country, he said.

Waste can be used as feed, which will serve the development of livestock, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Here, the presentation of irrigation and land reclamation works in Jizzakh province for 2018-2019, hydro projects was held. Uzbekhydroenergo presented investment projects for construction and modernization of micro HPPs in Zaamin and Zafarabad provinces.

The head of our state instructed the responsible persons to ensure the high-quality implementation of these construction works, to provide the necessary financial and organizational assistance.
