Farhad Roziev has been appointed as director general of UzbekTelecom replacing Shukhrat Kadirov, who ran the company since March 2017, the Minister of IT Development Azim Ahmedkhodjaev announced on Saturday, the company said.
Presenting the new DG, the Minister expressed gratitude to Shukhrat Kadirov, and also noted that the company was tasked to continue the current reforms.
Farhad Roziev, 38, graduated from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. He worked at Sarkor Telecom, where he held positions from manager to director general . Since 2007, he served as the regional director of Winncom Technologies Corp responsible for business development in Central Asia and Ukraine.
In 2011-2012, he was hired by UzbekTelecom company, to oversee the UzOnline project, as well as the director of the UzMobile mobile operator.
