Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov will pay a working visit to Russia from 22 to 23 February 2018, the ministry said.

The visit is organized as part of the comprehensive work aimed at implement the agreements reached during the state visit of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Russia on April 4-5, 2017.

On February 23, Abdulaziz Kamilov will hold talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.

The counterparts will exchange views on a wide range of topical international issues and Russian-Uzbek foreign policy cooperation.

In particular, the two ministers will discuss issues of regional security and the situation in Afghanistan.

Within the framework of the visit, it is planned to sign a cooperation program between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
