Starting August 1, civil courts across Uzbekistan will deploy judges specializing exclusively in labor disputes, following a resolution passed by the Presidium of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan. These specialized positions will be filled using existing judicial staff allocations.

Within the Supreme Court’s Judicial Chamber for Civil Cases, four judges will be dedicated to hearing labor disputes. Meanwhile, the civil judicial chambers of the Court of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, provincial courts, and the Tashkent city court will each assign three judges to these cases.

Specialized labor dispute judges will also be stationed at the inter-district and municipal civil court levels throughout the provinces:

  • Two judges each will serve in the Nukus, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Karshi, Karmana, Namangan, Termez, Fergana, and Urgench inter-district courts, as well as the Samarkand city court.
  • In Tashkent province, two specialized judges will be assigned to the Akhangaran inter-district court, with one judge each assigned to the Urta-Chirchik and Yangiyul inter-district courts.
  • In Tashkent city, two specialized judges each will be deployed to the Mirzo-Ulugbek, Mirabad, Shaykhantahur, Uchtepa, and Yakkasaray inter-district courts.
  • The Kattakurgan inter-district court will be allocated one specialized judge.

All labor dispute petitions submitted to courts on or after August 1 will be routed automatically to these specialized judges. Cases filed up to and including July 31 - including those where court proceedings have already begun - will be processed and concluded under the previous generalized system.
