A reported earlier the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is visiting Karakalpakstan. According to the President’s press service, during the trip Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the Karakalpakstan preschool education long-term development program and paid a visit to preschool No. 8 in Chimbay district.
The current designs of kindergartens are outdated solutions, do not justify themselves, he said. He pointed to the need to take into account the South Korean experience when designing new kindergartens. The head of state was accompanied by the Minister of Preschool Education Agrippina Shin.
Preschools must be built taking into account climatic conditions, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Each room should have a warm floor, he noted.
He instructed to review the system of personnel training for the sphere. It is necessary to organize special courses at higher educational institutions. The professional level of educators is very important for the future of children, he said.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also visited the newly set up Samsung TVs and vacuum cleaners manufacturing plant , here he was briefed about the plant’s production capacities and export potential, and also got acquainted with UzElTechSanoat’s projects, the implementation of which is scheduled in 2018 in Karakalpakstan.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited a new specialized higher sports school in Nukus, and got acquainted with the facilities for practicing 11 sports disciplines - freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, weightlifting, judo, taekwondo, boxing, fencing, rhythmic gymnastics.
The new sports complex will serve as a base for holding training camps for Karakalpakstan teams in these sports.
The President spoke to young athletes who were training in the complex and congratulated them on commissioning of this facility.
He also visited the academic lyceum under the Nukus branch of Tashkent Agrarian University where he got acquainted with reclamation state of lands and agricultural machineries.
The times when we had to plant cotton even when it is unprofitable have now gone, he said. "You must grow other profitable crops. For example, licorice is suitable for the climatic conditions of the region," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The lyceum hosted a presentation of other pharmaceutical projects, manufacturing of medicines and medical products, providing the domestic market with high-quality locally manufactured medicines. The President highly commended the prospects of development of this sphere and noted the need to improve the training of personnel.
The head of state also visited Takhiatash district where he familiarized himself with the newly created Takhiatash small industrial zone.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev talked with entrepreneurs. He was presented with the Program for Development of Regional Industrial Zones for 2018-2020 and projects for production of building materials. He also inspected the construction progress of the Center for Agro-Industrial Logistics in Khodjeyli district. The Center is implementing innovative projects for processing and storing of agricultural products, modern greenhouses, efficient use of land, development of livestock, poultry and fish farming.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a meeting at Jokargy Kenes of Karakalpakstan attended by officials, entrepreneurs, activists and youth, representatives of the public. Particular attention was paid to elevating the region's economy to a new level, developing infrastructure, improving engineering and communications networks, creating jobs and raising the standard of living of the people.
